Brit-Vid
What is a Brit-Vid? You made have seen it hash-tagged on Instagram, or maybe you watched the teaser on Vimeo, and wondered to yourself what it could be. Well it all started with a BANG!.. or more accurately a kind of snapping or popping noise... as Liam's pulley popped from the pressure of making "v12" flash. Anyways he came home and couldn't really climb, and it was summer, so we spent a few months mostly climbing moderate highballs and slabs. One thing lead to another and eventually we invented the idea of making a movie about trying to bring "british-style" boulder problems to New England.
The specifics of what this entails are intentionally vague, I am personally sick of watching new climbing movies, or even reel-rock, already having been force fed the details of the sends on social media.. knowing ashima was going to send "horizon" made it less exciting... period. A big part of my goal with this movie is to make it new and dare I say "exciting" for some New England climbers. The majority of climbs that we've shot have never been filmed before, and hopefully this will give the viewer some sort of "entertainment." We also tried to include nothing but high quality footage, so its not just another single-angle beta video.
We have just about three climbs left to film, so it looks like it will be wrapping up late april/early may. So for now.. without spoiling too much, here are the current numbers.
First Ascents: 16
Total Boulders: 36
Double Digit Boulders: 20
Narration: More than ever before!
