Looking Forward

Instead of looking back over the last few weeks and reflect upon all my recent failures and the three new ascents (all under v10) which I got to log on 8a.nu, I will look to the future, and use this time to understand my goals for the season and year.

I've been climbing at Bradley a lot recently, one, because Bradley is rad and has sooo many hard boulder problems, but also because it stays super dry, and usually ten degrees warmer than western mass. That being said, it is disappointing that my main project has been wet three out of the four days i've tried it. Anyways, Bradley is a super cool place, and it seems like every day we get try a new double-digit problem with amazing rock and movement.

Im sure we will be heading to Bradley much more over the winter, and all I need is a day that is below freezing so that the ice stays locked up inside the cracks, not soaking the holds. 

Here is the list of my goals for Spring/2015. In order. 

Spring

1. Brothers Keeper v12? - I have it in two overlapping parts, have fallen five times past crux. Wet      almost all winter. 

2. Serendipity Moment v12 - Two overlapping parts, often wet. 

3. Suspect Device v11 - Two parts, have done it from the second move to the top, and can do the first move 1/4 times. 

4. Speed of Life v10 - Two parts excluding mantle. Climbed to the last few moves many times on wet holds. Wet unless shoveled off. Need a huge amount of pads to attempt. 

5. Everything is Purple v11/12 - Two parts.. Until the v7 mantle, and the mantle alone. Wet all winter. 

Everything is Purple. 

6. Spyhunter v10 - Two overlapping parts. Fallen on last move countless times. 

7. Confident Man v12 - Agonizingly close on definitive crux move after one hour of attempts. 

2015

1. Roses and Bluejays v13

2. The Riverblock Project

3. Child of the Storm v13

4. The Best Buy v12

5. Work of Man v12

Hopefully I will get to climb outside in the next few weeks, since i'm still on break. Maybe I will go shovel off the Happy Valley so that I can try Brothers..
